In order to perform an import/export operation, in addition to customs’ declaration, operators need to submit up to 68 instances to 18 offices, transmitting to each of them all information and data – which are often basically identical or similar – in order to obtain the required authorizations, permits, licenses and clearances, which are mainly issued in paper form.
Being there no efficient coordination among the offices involved in the clearance process, resulting extra costs and time loss are born by entrepreneurs.
